Principal Investigator

  • Brynn Sherman

    Brynn is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at Ohio State. She launched the lab in the Fall of 2025, after completing a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, her PhD at Yale University, and her B.S. at New York University. Outside of the lab, she enjoys cooking, baking, running (very slowly), and spending time with her family. [CV]

Research Staff

  • Naomi Lytle

    Naomi received her B.A. in Psychology with a second major in Linguistics and a minor in Data Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is currently researching variability in cross-modal perception, and plans to pursue a PhD in Cognitive Science or Human-Computer Interaction. In her free time, Naomi enjoys writing, learning about video games, and playing soccer.

  • Chance Mckinnie

    Chance received his B.S. in Psychology with minors in Spanish and Anthropology from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He is currently researching how people perceive and represent time through vision and audition. He is also interested in the relationship between perception and memory, more broadly, and plans to pursue a PhD in Cognitive Psychology. In his free time, Chance enjoys rockclimbing, reading and going to jazz clubs.

  • Jie (Skye) Zheng

    Skye is the inaugural lab manager of the Moments Lab. She received a BA in Psychology from the University of British Columbia and an MA in Social Sciences (Psychology concentration) from the University of Chicago. Before joining the lab, she worked with Dr. Molly Erickson on projects investigating EEG markers of cognitive control. She is interested in cognitive control, memory, and attention, with a human neuroimaging approach. Outside the lab, she enjoys cooking and watching horror movies.

Undergraduate Research Assistants

  • Abby Bonno

    Abby is a third-year majoring in Biology and minoring in Environmental Science. She is interested in how various types of event boundaries influence temporal memory. Beyond academics, Abby enjoys painting nails, crocheting, and spending time in the outdoors, especially fishing. 

  • Greta Salmon

    Greta is a third-year majoring in Neuroscience on the Pre-Med track. She is interested in exploring the factors that influence and hinder memory encoding. Outside of the lab, she loves to run, read, and find new coffee shops around Columbus. 

  • Cadence Waller

    Cadence is a second-year majoring in Neuroscience on the pre-med track. She is interested in understanding how stress affects memory encoding and perception. Outside of the lab, she spends her free-time half-marathon training, tutoring elementary kids, and exploring Columbus.
